Ford F150 4A Mode

4a is akin to awd (system that only kicks in when rear wheels slip). Currently the truck has about 5k miles but i have noticed since i bought it in.

The regular 4a transfer case also has 4h and 4l,. Also, is it safe to. 4h and/or 4l is only for offroad and slippery road conditions.
